Front Store Supervisor

Overview

Role Importance

This position is vital for overseeing customer service operations including cash handling, cashier management, and merchandising activities within the store.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure cashier and merchandising team comply fully with store policies and operating protocols.
• Provide comprehensive training and continual support to cashiers and merchandisers regarding their job responsibilities.
• Implement and monitor loss prevention measures daily, including cash office inventory tracking, cashier tracking, and managing PC Optimum procedures.
• Maintain appropriate store image by ensuring staff adherence to the Uniform Policy.
• Respond to customer inquiries about product location, rainchecks, and resolve customer issues per established guidelines involving refunds and exchanges.
• Encourage participation in the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) Survey.
• Keep shelves clean, organized, and properly rotated; arrange product displays as directed by the Area/Floor Store Manager.
• Maintain standards for store housekeeping and branding image consistently.
• Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and store policies, including loss prevention and banking or clerical duties when assigned.
• Perform cashier duties when necessary and any other tasks as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Strong planning, judgment, and independent decision-making skills to effectively organize store operations.
• Problem-solving abilities ensuring excellent customer satisfaction.
• Computer literacy with strong organizational skills and efficient time management.
• Knowledge of products and store inventory management.

Remuneration

The hourly pay range for this role is between 18 and 20 Canadian dollars, with the exact rate depending on the candidate’s experience, knowledge, and the location’s geographic factors.
