Role Summary
Basedash is seeking its inaugural dedicated account executive to lead our sales efforts. This founding position entails managing the entire sales pipeline, closing deals with enterprise clients, and establishing a scalable sales framework to propel our growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete sales lifecycle including prospecting, conducting discovery sessions, delivering product demonstrations, negotiating terms, and closing deals.
- Secure enterprise agreements and consistently achieve or surpass revenue objectives.
- Develop and refine the sales playbook based on insights from active engagement with prospects and customers.
- Evaluate sales approaches and outcomes to continually enhance positioning, pricing strategies, and sales processes.
- Collaborate directly with the President to define go-to-market strategies and set priorities.
- Work alongside the product team and interact with customers to sharpen and tailor the sales pitch.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience as an account executive with documented success in closing enterprise-level deals.
- Capable of independently managing the entire sales cycle in a startup environment with minimal structure.
- Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Possesses strong technical knowledge enabling effective communication of technical products to knowledgeable buyers.
- Keen to contribute actively in shaping the sales processes rather than adopting pre-existing methods.
- Based in Canada or the United States, with availability during overlapping business hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in sales related to data technologies such as business intelligence, analytics platforms, databases, or developer tools.
- Background in early-stage or founding roles within go-to-market teams.
- A history of being a top performer within sales organizations.
Additional Information
This is a fully remote role available to candidates in Canada or the US. Compensation includes a base salary, unlimited commission potential, and equity participation. The position reports directly to the President.
