About SSP Canada
SSP Canada operates a variety of restaurants within the Calgary International Airport, including Belgian Beer Cafe, Bad Egg, Bistro on the Bow, The Kitchen by Wolfgang Puck, and soon-to-open Mi Casa and Wander by Chef Nicole Gomes. The Food Service Attendant plays a vital role in preparing, serving, selling, and maintaining the stocking of food and beverages in these establishments.
Job Responsibilities
- Welcome guests warmly and offer polite, friendly service
- Accurately take orders and input them into the point of sale system
- Handle customer payments and provide correct change
- Set up, clean, maintain, and break down machinery and equipment used during shifts
- Complete required checklists for opening, ongoing operations, and closing duties
- Organize and clean all workspaces and storage areas, including refrigerators and trash bins
- Perform various cleaning tasks using standard cleaning supplies to maintain health and safety standards
- Carry out any other duties the supervisor assigns
Skills & Requirements
- At least one year of experience in a food service role
- High school diploma is preferred
- Proficient in reading, speaking, and understanding English to communicate effectively with guests
- Ability to memorize and promote different menu items
- Competent in using keyboard and point of sale systems for managing orders and payments
- Capable of standing for extended periods and working effectively in confined spaces
- Must meet airport security clearance standards and legally authorized to work in Canada

- Position is based in a secure airport environment; a Restricted Area Identification Card (RAIC) is mandatory
