Food & Consumables Team Lead

Position Overview

The Food & Consumables Team Lead plays a key role in overseeing food and consumables departments and facilitating department processes. This position involves addressing issues and inquiries while fostering associate development through coaching and training. Ensuring excellent customer service and the successful completion of tasks are central responsibilities.

Primary Duties

• Deliver outstanding customer service by warmly welcoming customers, assisting in product promotion and selection, resolving concerns, and directing issues as appropriate.
• Support the direction and coordination of task completion according to priorities set by the Food & Consumables Coach and Store Management, including delegation and follow-up of daily customer availability tasks.
• Evaluate and maintain the presentation and signage of the Food & Consumables areas, identify deficiencies, and implement merchandising updates as needed.
• Lead daily team huddles to communicate updates, set objectives, and monitor team productivity, ensuring effective internal communication.
• Collaborate with the People Lead to review schedules and assign associates for task coverage throughout various store sections.
• Conduct area walkthroughs with leadership and team members to identify training needs; provide associate development through instruction and feedback.
• Promote workplace safety and cleanliness by adhering to company policies, completing safety inspections, and securing displays and fixtures.
• Complete administrative tasks such as GTA/Workday duties and support management functions.
• Work with the Coach and People Lead to manage associate performance, facilitate growth discussions, and assist with recruitment and hiring processes.

Additional Details
