Role Overview
The Food & Beverage Greeter acts as the initial point of contact for guests arriving at the hotel's dining outlets, creating a warm and personalized welcome that aligns with Forbes 5-Star standards. This position demands meticulous attention to guest engagement, polished professionalism, and the ability to anticipate and respond to guest needs effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Extend a sincere, name-based greeting to guests upon arrival, establishing a hospitable tone.
- Offer detailed knowledge about menus, current promotions, and special offerings with genuine enthusiasm.
- Predict guest preferences and provide helpful guidance regarding directions and seating arrangements.
- Maintain a refined and professional appearance and conduct at all times.
- Support incoming calls and manage reservation scheduling or follow-up communications.
- Ensure the entrance and hosting area remain clean, orderly, and welcoming.
- Promptly report any guest issues to management or security personnel.
- Adhere strictly to Forbes 5-Star service standards, including personalized greetings, appropriate language, and gracious farewells.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Service-oriented demeanor with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.
- Experience and training in fine dining or equivalent luxury service environments.
- At least two years of employment within a prominent luxury brand in a related role.
- Flexibility in scheduling, proactive motivation, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Capability to stand and walk continuously throughout shifts.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada without requiring visa sponsorship; acceptable identification proof mandatory.
