Finance Manager, Business Performance

Position Overview

This role is a Finance Manager position with a focus on business performance at Bacardi in Toronto, Ontario. The incumbent will be responsible for comprehensive management of the Canadian Profit & Loss statement, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end financial closures, review of actual results, business performance analysis, and preparation of presentations for leadership.

Core Responsibilities

• Manage and own the Canadian P&L, including monthly financial closing activities, balance sheet reconciliations, and analysis of business results.
• Lead the monthly forecasting cycle by preparing actual and forecast figures punctually, collaborating with team members to provide analysis, commentary, and identification of financial risks and opportunities.
• Provide financial leadership for innovation and brand projects through local business case development, finance reporting, and ad hoc analyses.
• Conduct regional expenditure reviews with monthly variance analysis to highlight risks and suggest opportunities, as well as supporting business partners in decision-making and forecasting.
• Ensure finance support for core platforms including maintaining data integrity, managing data transmission, and encouraging end-user adoption of systems such as Anaplan, SAP, TM1, and Concur, alongside ongoing reconciliations, approvals, budget monitoring, and process improvements.
• Collaborate with the Finance Support Team to implement best practices and improve internal financial controls.
• Serve as a primary finance liaison for Canadian partners including prim@s, distributors (SGWS), and vendors on accounting and finance-related issues.
• Work jointly with North America Finance to produce business performance presentations, financial reports, and interpretive commentary.
• Advance finance proficiency in the Canada team by delivering training, supporting projects and system implementations, and assisting in Bacardi Canada’s annual planning and budgeting.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5 to 7 years of experience serving as a finance business partner, preferably within the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector or alcohol industry, supporting commercial teams such as Sales or Marketing.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities in dynamic, deadline-oriented environments with the ability to communicate complex data clearly and concisely.
• Proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and SAP, with experience in TM1 databases and Power BI considered advantageous.
• Educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Finance; an MBA or accounting certification in progress or completed is preferred.

Terms and Additional Information

This is a replacement role offering a salary range of approximately $90,000 to $120,000 annually, dependent on experience. The position operates under a hybrid work model combining onsite and remote presence. Agency submissions and unsolicited CVs will not be accepted.
