Finance Manager

About the Role

Join Cisco’s Cloud & Compute Business Entity Finance team, where finance meets technology and innovation to create strategic business outcomes. This team collaborates closely with Revenue Recognition, Financial Planning & Analysis, and other cross-functional partners to enable scalable financial operations, insightful business analysis, and operational excellence within a rapidly evolving cloud and SaaS landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and quarter-end closing processes, including journal entries and flux analysis.
• Perform reconciliations related to revenue, deferred revenue, contract assets, and remaining performance obligations (RPO) reporting.
• Work closely with Revenue Recognition teams to ensure adherence to US GAAP and ASC606 standards.
• Utilize AI and machine learning tools alongside advanced analytics to enhance forecast accuracy and develop scalable finance solutions.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting tasks, improving efficiency through AI-driven processes.
• Lead cross-functional process enhancements ensuring compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
• Create dynamic dashboards and analytic reports using technologies such as Power BI, Tableau, and Python.
• Simplify complex financial data into clear insights and communication suitable for leadership.
• Automate and streamline the preparation of standardized deliverables including PowerPoint presentations, Excel reports, and Word documents.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, MBA, or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting roles.
• Robust knowledge of Revenue Recognition standards (ASC606) and SaaS business models.
• Solid hands-on experience with US GAAP accounting principles.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Python, and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Proven ability or strong interest in using AI tools, automation platforms, and advanced analytics for forecasting and reporting.
• Familiarity with enterprise financial systems including Hyperion, Essbase, FINBI, and Demantra.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities, stakeholder communication, and management skills.
