Role Overview

This role is part of our Talent Bench Program, tailored for recent graduates and those beginning their careers in finance and accounting. As a Finance & Accounting Associate, you will collaborate with experienced team members to support daily financial operations of U.S.-based cannabis clients. You will take on responsibilities that include repeating financial tasks with growing independence, owning your work areas, and suggesting enhancements to accounting and reporting systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with daily accounting activities such as reconciliations, invoicing, cash and payment applications, and journal entry processing.
• Provide support in accounts payable and receivable, including preparing aging reports, entering data, handling documentation, and contributing to month-end closing.
• Ensure timely completion of accurate work while adhering to quality standards and service level agreements.
• Maintain high accuracy with minimal supervisor corrections.
• Develop trust with clients through consistent support and recommend improvements to workflows.
• Engage in teamwork with leads and colleagues through meetings, check-ins, and collaborative projects.
• Acquire technical skills in accounting basics, accounts payable/receivable, Excel proficiency, and ERP software utilization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Familiarity with accounting software, such as QuickBooks, is advantageous.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
