Role Overview
As a Field Service Technician at Miele Professional, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a diverse array of commercial appliances in environments such as industrial laundries, laboratories, hospitals, and other medical facilities. The role primarily covers the Southampton and Salisbury areas, with some travel beyond and occasional overnight or out-of-hours work requiring flexibility. Representing a premium global brand, you will provide outstanding customer service and technical expertise throughout your duties.
Responsibilities
- Conduct fault diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on professional laundry equipment and washer disinfectors in collaboration with customers and internal teams.
- Perform installations and decommissioning of professional appliances in compliance with health, safety, and gas safe standards across commercial and medical settings.
- Deliver a superior customer experience while professionally representing the Miele brand during all interactions.
- Maintain clear communication with planners, managers, and service partners to ensure efficient service delivery and effective resolution of technical issues.
- Manage van stock, spare parts, and daily administration accurately to support high first-time fix rates and operational effectiveness.
- Promote Miele care products, accessories, service contracts, and planned maintenance through customer engagement and product knowledge.
- Keep technical knowledge current by participating in training and development, working towards performance goals and KPIs.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing professional electrical and gas appliances using appropriate testing equipment.
- Proven experience in field service or technical customer service roles with a focus on delivering excellent customer support.
- Strong understanding of UK power systems, wiring components, and appliance mechanisms with the capacity to address technical challenges effectively.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities, adept at managing workload independently and fostering strong customer relationships.
- Proactive commitment to continuous learning, maintaining current product knowledge, and completing required technical training.
