About the Role
Join NRG Energy's Vivint Smart Home team, a leader in smart home technology in the United States, committed to creating innovative, safer, and environmentally conscious homes. As a Field Service Professional based in Princeton, Victoria, Australia, you will be a vital link between advanced smart home technology and the everyday user, installing and servicing state-of-the-art home automation and security systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot smart home devices such as security cameras, smart locks, and home automation equipment to ensure optimal operation.
- Actively evaluate customer homes to identify potential upgrades and enhancements, providing on-the-spot consultative sales and solutions tailored to client needs.
- Educate homeowners on the effective use and benefits of their smart home systems to enhance family safety and convenience.
- Engage in continuous learning and coaching opportunities aimed at professional growth within the company’s national framework.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a proactive sales-oriented mindset, with prior experience preferred in retail, consumer sales, insurance, or service-based sales.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and integrity while fostering meaningful connections with a diverse client base.
- Bring technical proficiency, with relevant experience advantageous in cable, satellite installation, pest control, construction, or solar industries.
- Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and meet background and licensing checks as required.
Physical and Safety Requirements
- Be physically capable of lifting up to 45 pounds and climbing ladders up to 14 feet, including carrying tools meeting weight requirements up to 375 pounds.
- Comfortable performing tasks involving bending, kneeling, and prolonged standing, including working within confined spaces such as attics.
- Commit to a strong culture of safety with thorough risk assessments conducted for each job site to ensure a secure environment for all parties.
