About the Role
Woerner Agribusiness, operating as Woerner Turf, is seeking a driven and dependable team member to join its sod production operation in Ethel, Louisiana, in East Feliciana Parish. This role is suited to someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a commitment to doing high-quality work.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out land preparation tasks such as plowing, harrowing, and leveling fields.
- Run farm equipment and machinery, including tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems.
- Set up, monitor, and maintain irrigation infrastructure.
- Handle fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural treatments according to instructions and safety standards.
- Support planting, cultivation, and harvesting activities for crops.
- Complete regular upkeep and basic maintenance on farm machinery.
- Follow all required safety practices and environmental rules on the job.
Employment Details
This is a full-time position based on-site in Ethel, LA.
Schedule
- Daytime shift
- Monday through Friday
- Weekend availability may be required
