Role Purpose

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete all requested repair and improvement tasks, reporting progress to the assigned supervisory engineer.
  • Support the Engineering department in meeting budget goals through efficient use of materials and parts, following proper authorization procedures for ordering replacements.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout all factory areas, including the Engineering Fabrication workshop and related departments.
  • Ensure Hot Work Permits and Risk Assessments are correctly issued and closed after task completion.
  • Manage steel stores and consumables by keeping stock levels replenished.
  • Participate in routine Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) tasks after training, alongside reactive maintenance work as part of the engineering team.
  • Perform various fabrication and repair activities including Welding (TIG, ARC, MIG), Cutting, Grinding, Metal Forming/Bending, Drilling, Tapping, and accurate measurements using mathematical skills including trigonometry.
  • Develop fabrication ideas and solutions, construct fabrication drawings, and share best practices to advance engineering functions.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
