About the Role
We invite experienced equity research professionals to join a remote contract position focused on enhancing AI systems' capacity to analyze companies, financial statements, and public disclosures. This role requires leveraging deep financial analysis expertise to improve next-generation AI financial research models.
Key Responsibilities
- Scrutinize publicly accessible company financial data and regulatory filings.
- Extract and interpret key financial and business details from SEC filings such as 10-Ks, 10-Qs, 8-Ks, and similar disclosures.
- Critically assess AI-generated financial analyses for accuracy, integrity, and analytical depth.
- Implement equity research approaches to evaluate company performance, financial trends, and fundamental business drivers.
- Provide structured, precise feedback to enhance AI-driven financial analysis quality.
- Perform comprehensive company and industry research using publicly available resources.
- Apply consistent, evidence-backed judgment in evaluating financial research outputs.
Required Qualifications
- At least two years of professional experience in equity research at a recognized financial institution, investment or research firm.
- Proven expertise in analyzing and extracting data from SEC filings.
- Strong command of financial statements, accounting principles, company fundamentals, and valuation methodologies.
- Experience in thorough company and sector analysis.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, financial research capabilities, and attention to detail.
- Excellent written communication skills suitable for remote independent work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in financial modeling, earnings analysis, investment research, or valuation.
- Experience with reviewing 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K reports, earnings releases, and investor presentations.
- Track record of producing or critically reviewing institutional standard equity research reports.
- Any involvement in AI training, model evaluation, or projects dealing with financial data is advantageous.
Compensation & Terms
- Competitive hourly pay rate of $120.
- Payments processed weekly.
- Engagement structured as an independent contractor agreement.
- Commitment of at least 10 hours per week.
