Role Overview
We are seeking an Equipment Operator to be part of our production team at our Dairy Factory in Balclutha, supporting the transformation of raw milk into infant formula. This key role involves ensuring high-quality products are delivered to consumers consistently by following procedures carefully, maintaining alertness, and collaborating effectively with the team.
This position is full-time and permanent, with a rotating shift schedule: two day shifts, two night shifts, and four days off. The role is physically demanding, involving frequent heavy lifting, prolonged standing, and stair climbing.
Candidate Profile
- Previous experience operating factory machinery, preferably within the food industry; knowledge of spray-drying processes is beneficial.
- Understanding and practical application of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), with a strong focus on Health & Safety and quality standards.
- Awareness of hygiene protocols in food manufacturing, especially in High Care environments.
- Possession of a current forklift licence and proven competence in safely operating forklifts in manufacturing, warehousing, or production contexts.
- Keen attention to detail, willingness to work shift patterns, and a strong team-oriented mindset.
