Electrician

Job Summary

The Electrician is tasked with performing electrical installation, wiring, testing, maintenance, and repair work at project locations, ensuring all tasks are conducted safely, accurately, and according to authorized plans, specifications, and the company’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical wiring and related installation as per approved diagrams and directives.
• Install various electrical components including switches, sockets, lighting fixtures, fans, distribution boards (DBs), miniature circuit breakers (MCBs), molded case circuit breakers (MCCBs), isolators, and other accessories.
• Perform cable laying, organization, termination, and glanding work.
• Set up cable trays, conduits, PVC/HDPE pipes, junction boxes, and other electrical infrastructure.
• Assist in installing electrical panels and associated equipment.
• Conduct basic testing of electrical circuits and identify faults for repair.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations.
• Verify electrical connections for correct termination and safety.
• Support engineers and supervisors during testing and commissioning activities.
• Follow daily tasks assigned by supervisors or site engineers and finish work within scheduled timeframes.
• Collaborate with other site personnel and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the work site.
• Use materials and tools efficiently, preventing waste.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, utilize personal protective equipment such as helmets, safety shoes, gloves, and harnesses.
• Ensure electrical work is conducted only after proper isolation and authorization.
• Maintain quality in wiring, terminations, installations, and finishings.
• Report any unsafe conditions, faults, or equipment damage immediately to supervisors.
• Handle electrical tools and equipment with care and maintain them in good condition.
• Check materials before using and report shortages or damages promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• ITI qualification in Electrician or Electrical Trade preferred.
• Candidates with relevant practical site experience may be considered.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical installation, construction, maintenance, or contracting projects preferred.
• Fresh ITI graduates with strong practical knowledge may be eligible for junior roles.

Preferred Background

• Experience in commercial, residential, and industrial electrical projects.
• Familiarity with electrical contracting tasks.
• Knowledge in installing cable trays, conduits, distribution boards, panels, wiring, and finishing.

Employment Details

• Full-time position based on company standards and experience.
• Salary range from ₹22,000 to ₹28,000 per month.
• Additional benefits may include food allowance and travel/fuel allowance as applicable along with other company benefits.
