Electrical Engineer

Role Overview

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the correct installation, effective operation, and ongoing maintenance of electrical systems which include power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and control systems. This role involves overseeing compliance with local regulations, conducting inspections, troubleshooting electrical problems, and collaborating with other professionals from various disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into projects.
• Perform site inspections to confirm compliance with local construction codes and standards.
• Ensure all electrical work meets project specifications, industry benchmarks, and safety protocols.
• Manage proper storage, handling, and installation procedures for electrical components.
• Detect and resolve defects within electrical systems and recommend appropriate remedial measures.
• Document inspection results, testing outcomes, and overall project progress meticulously.
• Supervise installation, testing, and commissioning activities for electrical systems such as power, lighting, and fire alarms.
• Compile detailed reports on electrical system functionality and regulatory compliance.
• Offer technical guidance regarding electrical design challenges encountered on site.
• Assess and approve electrical materials and equipment designated for installation.
• Oversee thorough system testing, grounding, and commissioning to guarantee optimal system performance.
• Validate that electrical systems satisfy operational needs and safety standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of proven experience as an Electrical Engineer.
• Advanced problem-solving capabilities, with strong foundation in technical concepts, mathematics, and science.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Expert knowledge of power distribution networks, lighting solutions, fire alarm systems, and electrical design principles.
• Hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Revit software, and project management tools.
