Qatar Duty Free is searching for a Duty Manager in Sales to supervise the day-to-day functions of specific retail outlets. The manager will drive sales growth by delivering outstanding customer service while safeguarding inventory and cash according to company rules.

Key Responsibilities

• Clearly communicate sales goals to Sales Assistants and Shop Supervisors, ensuring understanding and motivation to meet targets.
• Meet daily sales objectives by managing staff deployment and inventory effectively.
• Enforce company policies promoting smooth operational workflows.
• Coordinate with merchandising to secure appropriate stock and consumables from stores or bonded warehouses to achieve sales goals.
• Establish relationships with customers and stakeholders to assess current and upcoming service needs.
• Lead team to consistently deliver excellent customer service, upholding the GUEST service model standards.
• Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly, escalating issues when necessary.
• Plan and arrange staff schedules accounting for leave and business demands to ensure optimal floor coverage.
• Monitor staff attendance, proactively addressing unnotified absences with appropriate follow-up.
• Perform ad hoc checks of staff product knowledge and organize training to address gaps, including promotions.
• Inspect that all shop floor personnel adhere to uniform and grooming standards per company policies.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to maintain product range and stock levels aligned with standards.
• Regularly check pricing, product display, and cleanliness to support sales targets.
• Maintain effective stock management ensuring adequate merchandise is displayed to satisfy demand.
• Identify potential expired or low-stock products timely to prevent sales losses.
• Verify barcode, PLU numbers, and pricing accuracy routinely.
• Maintain strict inventory controls daily, focusing on high-value merchandise.
• Report any stock-related issues or damage immediately to the Retail Manager.
• Monitor stock shrinkage tolerance to keep within budgetary constraints.
• Maintain rigorous security measures concerning stock and cash.
• Ensure staff comply with all company security policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School education.
• At least 4 years of relevant professional experience.
• Minimum 3 years’ work background in retail or service sectors.
• Operational expertise within retail settings is mandatory.
• Proficient in English communication.
• Experience in travel retail is an advantage.
