Job Overview

We are seeking a proficient and imaginative DTP Operator to join our book publishing house team in Kolkata. This role involves meticulous page design, typesetting, formatting, and preparing artwork, all geared toward producing print-ready files for books and educational publications.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute desktop publishing tasks including page layout and typesetting for various books and educational content.
• Develop appealing and print-ready pages using software like Adobe PageMaker and InDesign, ensuring precision in margins, paragraph styles, headings, footers, page numbers, indexes, tables, and contents.
• Ensure consistent use of fonts, spacing, alignment, and adherence to design guidelines throughout projects.
• Design creative elements such as book covers, title pages, inner pages, advertisements, posters, and promotional visuals.
• Edit and enhance images and graphics using Adobe Photoshop.
• Produce illustrations, charts, labels, icons, and other visual elements using CorelDRAW.
• Apply creativity and visual sensibility to deliver attractive and effective presentations.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Adobe PageMaker and Adobe InDesign for page layout and typesetting tasks.
• Experience in graphic editing using Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to create visual illustrations and graphics with CorelDRAW.
• Strong typing skills with good speed and accuracy.
• Attention to detail and commitment to consistent design quality.

Compensation and Location

This full-time position is based in Kolkata, West Bengal, offering a monthly salary ranging from 10,000 to 22,000 INR.
