We are seeking a Director of User Experience (UX) who will spearhead DocuWare's UX vision while leading and scaling our UX organization, which encompasses both Research and Design teams. This role focuses on building and advancing our UX maturity, combining leadership with active hands-on involvement rather than solely managing or strategizing.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and expand a high-performing UX team, including leaders in Research and Design, fostering a culture of growth, inclusivity, and excellence.
• Develop, implement, and uphold UX standards, processes, governance structures, and success metrics throughout the organization.
• Design and execute a comprehensive UX strategy that elevates user-centric approaches and enhances UX maturity company-wide.
• Influence product strategy, roadmap planning, budgeting, and resource allocation while championing exceptional user experiences at each stage of the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, and executive stakeholders to shape DocuWare's product future and ensure user experience drives business success.
• Promote the integration of AI-native workflows within UX, leveraging AI for research analysis, rapid prototyping, workflow automation, and boosting team productivity.
• Work jointly with Product and Engineering teams to craft intuitive, reliable, and impactful AI-powered user experiences.
• Mentor UX leaders, support career growth initiatives, and establish succession plans to ensure long-term organizational strength.
• Continuously enhance performance management systems and foster ongoing development of UX capabilities across teams.

Qualifications and Experience

• Completed Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, User Experience Design, or a closely related discipline.
• Extensive professional experience in User Experience with proven success in elevating UX maturity within expanding organizations.
• Solid knowledge of strategic product management and experience impacting product strategy at an executive leadership level.
• Demonstrated experience leading managerial or team lead roles and scaling UX teams effectively.
• Strong leadership and coaching abilities, inspiring teams through transformational phases.
• Proven collaboration with senior Product and Engineering leaders, influencing strategic decisions related to roadmaps, budgets, and growth.
• Comprehensive expertise in both UX Research and UX Design, able to guide and balance both domains efficiently.
• Experience driving cultural changes and promoting user-centered methodologies throughout organizations.
