Position Summary

JAM+ is seeking a highly active commercial leader to help generate fresh revenue across its ecommerce businesses. This role is centered on action: you will personally prospect, make outreach, convert introductions into meetings, run pilots, and help turn ideas into live revenue opportunities.

You will be responsible for identifying, building, and closing DTC and ecommerce-adjacent growth opportunities while also managing channel growth and performance. The work spans strategic partnerships, white-label platform opportunities, procurement relationships, vertical sales programs, and new outbound sales motions. You will work closely with the CEO and will need to move quickly, think creatively, and take full ownership of results.

Performance will be evaluated through revenue growth, signed partnerships, qualified pipeline creation, sales team effectiveness, and channel performance.

Core Mission

Build new revenue streams by forming partnerships, opening new customer segments, energizing the sales team, managing channel growth, and finding practical ways to expand JAM+'s ecommerce businesses beyond traditional website traffic and paid media.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create new revenue by developing and managing a pipeline of strategic partnerships, vertical sales opportunities, and new commercial programs. Move quickly from concept to outreach, pilot, and monetization. Build inventive approaches to reaching new audiences such as associations, procurement groups, schools, enterprise buyers, and other high-value niches.
  • Evaluate opportunities using clear business cases that weigh revenue potential, margin, effort, and timing.
  • Rank initiatives by how quickly they can produce revenue, their strategic importance, and their ability to scale.
  • Strengthen the sales function through a stronger outbound approach. Define KPIs, scripts, and accountability measures. Personally drive high-value outreach and set the pace for the team.
  • Review the current sales team and advise on adjustments to structure, process, and incentives.
  • Increase conversion rates for inbound leads, quotations, and dormant accounts.
  • Own and move existing partnership deals forward. Identify new organizations, platforms, and communities for co-marketing, referrals, white-label, or embedded commerce opportunities. Negotiate terms together with the CEO and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop credible relationships with senior external partners.
  • Turn partner relationships into signed, revenue-producing agreements.
  • Identify niche and vertical market opportunities where JAM can succeed with targeted outreach and repeatable sales plays, then design testable campaigns for those segments.
  • Focus on categories such as associations, schools, procurement groups, and nonprofits.
  • Work with ecommerce and creative teams on offers, landing pages, and marketing collateral.
  • Collaborate across Ecommerce, Technology, Operations, Finance, and CX to ensure new initiatives are feasible, supported, and profitable.
  • Coordinate with teams on site experience, pricing, and margins before launching new programs.
  • Bring forward customer pain points and repeat-purchase opportunities with the CX team.
  • Own pipeline and revenue reporting, and provide regular updates to the CEO on activity, closed deals, and revenue impact.
  • Track leading indicators such as outreach, meetings, and pilots, not just final outcomes.
  • Continuously refine the approach based on what is producing results.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within 30 days: You have a strong understanding of the business, the sales team, and channel dynamics; a prioritized target list is in place; and direct outreach is underway.
  • Within 60 to 90 days: You are running a disciplined outbound rhythm with clear KPIs, active discussions with promising partners, and at least one or two pilots launched or in progress.
  • By 6 months: You have a measurable pipeline and early revenue from new partnerships, verticals, or channels, with repeatable playbooks starting to emerge.
  • By 12 months: You have delivered meaningful incremental revenue and built a scalable pipeline that continues to grow beyond the first year.

Ideal Candidate

You are an entrepreneurial, highly motivated builder who enjoys creating revenue from zero rather than inheriting an existing book of business. Ambiguity does not slow you down; you are comfortable working with or without a playbook and prefer taking action over over-analysis. You know how to make a cold call, turn an introduction into a meeting, sustain momentum through a long sales cycle, and close deals.

You are comfortable moving between very different settings in a single day: a senior partner meeting, a cold call to a procurement office, a test campaign for a niche segment, a deep review of channel performance data, and a direct conversation with your own sales team about raising standards.

You bring strong instincts for sales and business development, real commercial creativity, and enough working knowledge of ecommerce fundamentals — partnerships, sales, channels, landing pages, customer experience, and repeat purchase behavior — to understand how the pieces fit together and where the next opportunity may be.

Required Experience & Skills

Must-have qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success in generating revenue from scratch through outbound sales, business development, partnerships, or new market development.
  • Willingness to personally prospect and lead outreach efforts.
  • Ability to manage, reset, or improve a sales team.
  • Strong commercial judgment related to revenue, margin, timing, and effort.
  • Entrepreneurial urgency and comfort operating without a perfect playbook.

Strong advantages:

  • Background in print-on-demand, office products, ecommerce, shipping/logistics, promotional products, or B2B ecommerce.
  • Comfort with ecommerce metrics such as CAC, LTV, AOV, and contribution margin.
  • Existing relevant relationships in adjacent markets or channel/procurement spaces.

What This Role Is Not

This is not a conventional marketing position. It is not focused on daily site or marketplace management. It is also not suitable for someone who prefers to manage from a distance without personally generating momentum. The role is designed for someone who wants to build, sell, test, hustle, and create measurable new revenue.

Benefits

JAM+ provides a competitive benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) with company match, life insurance, and generous paid time off to support both professional and personal well-being.
