Director of Logistics

About the Role

This executive leadership position is based in the United States and involves managing global supply chain operations that support critical military programs. The Director of Logistics will be charged with ensuring the smooth and timely delivery of specialized equipment to military clients worldwide, fostering strategic collaboration across several business units. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage logistics and supply chain functions globally, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery of equipment to military customers across different countries.
• Lead subsidiary logistics teams by aligning their goals with the company's broader strategic plans and improving coordination among geographically dispersed units.
• Create and implement worldwide distribution strategies, including asset lifecycle management and modernization projects to optimize performance and minimize lead times.
• Procure specialized equipment and handle unique purchasing needs while maintaining stringent property accountability and supply chain integrity.
• Manage Foreign Military Sales (FMS) initiatives and security cooperation programs in compliance with export laws, international shipping norms, and governmental policies.
• Collaborate with U.S. government bodies, defense entities, and international partners to enhance joint efforts and mission success.
• Lead product integration projects to ensure effective deployment and continuous advancement of products and logistics capabilities.
• Provide senior-level guidance on logistics program management, operational planning, budgeting, contract oversight, and strategic programs; represent the organization in interactions with high-level government and defense officials.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of ten years’ senior military experience specializing in logistics, supply chain oversight, and executive operational management.
• In-depth knowledge of Foreign Military Sales, security cooperation, and complex global logistics operations.
• Expertise in export compliance, international shipping regulations, property management, lifecycle asset planning, and supply chain efficiencies.
• Demonstrated capability in leading cross-functional teams distributed across various locations and influencing senior military, governmental, and other international stakeholders.
• Experience in project management, particularly supporting product integration and strategic operational endeavors.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and relationship-building skills effective in high-profile and sensitive environments.
• Willingness and ability to travel frequently, navigate industrial settings, meet occasional physical demands, and adapt to fluctuating work hours as needed.
• Must pass a post-offer background investigation and fulfill U.S. work authorization requirements relevant to ITAR/EAR-regulated roles.
