About the Organization
Our client is one of Ireland's major providers serving children and adults with disabilities, operating with an annual budget exceeding €100 million, a team of over 1,800 employees, and delivering services throughout the Greater Dublin area.
Position Overview
This senior executive role involves leading the financial direction of a multi-entity group. Reporting directly to the CEO and part of the Executive Management Team, the Director of Finance will be entrusted with financial strategy, governance, planning, control, and maintaining accountability across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an integral Executive Management Team member reporting to the CEO.
- Take full charge of financial strategy development, planning, control, and governance across multiple entities.
- Manage engagement with the Health Service Executive (HSE), including negotiating Service Arrangements and funding.
- Supervise statutory reporting, audits, and compliance related to Section 38 regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with operational heads to ensure delivery of financially sound, high-quality services.
- Lead and cultivate a skilled and professional finance team.
Candidate Profile
- Fully qualified accountant with extensive experience in senior financial leadership roles.
- In-depth knowledge of the HSE funding framework is essential.
- Demonstrated capability handling large and complex budgets.
- Strong background in governance, auditing, and statutory compliance.
- Familiarity with the disability sector and prior HSE relationship management is highly advantageous.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, particularly at Board level.
Terms and Compensation
- This is a permanent full-time role based in Dublin.
- Salary aligns with the HSE consolidated pay scale for General Manager level 0041 (€87,470 - €108,804).
- Includes membership in the public service pension scheme.
