Position Overview
This is a permanent, full-time role involving day, evening, and alternating weekend shifts. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) works closely with individuals experiencing developmental disabilities, supporting them in their homes and communities. The DSP champions the rights of individuals to direct their own lives, appreciating their unique abilities and needs, and aids in skill development for personal growth.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience related to TAYS, apartment settings, the criminal justice system, mental health, risk management, addiction, trauma-informed care, and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) are preferred.
Compensation
The hourly wage ranges between 25 and 29 Canadian dollars per hour.

Eligibility and Required Checks
- Successful completion of a Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Reliable transportation access is necessary
Preferred Qualifications
- Three to six months of experience (either through volunteer work or employment) is favored
- Educational background such as a Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker certification, or related post-secondary education
