Overview
Joining as an essential member of the Resource Development Team, this role partners with the Digital Fundraising Team Lead to achieve the Singapore Red Cross's goals in digital fundraising and donor engagement. Your primary focus will be to support and implement strategies across various digital and traditional channels, boosting donations and nurturing donor relations to fulfill the organisation's mission of aiding vulnerable communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in formulating and executing digital fundraising strategies that attract new supporters while maintaining ongoing donor relationships, ensuring a steady flow of financial resources for SRC’s activities and events.
- Develop engaging and persuasive content and fundraising messages to captivate a broad audience of existing and prospective donors.
- Innovate beyond conventional fundraising approaches to craft bold and impactful campaigns fostering a culture of generosity.
- Manage and evaluate community-led digital fundraising initiatives across platforms such as crowdfunding, payment gateways, social media, websites, emails, and direct mail to maximize donor acquisition and retention.
- Analyze campaign performances and donor data to generate insights that refine fundraising efforts.
- Collaborate closely with the Corporate Communication & Marketing team and internal departments to enhance content and creative output.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work jointly within the Resource Development team and with other departments to integrate digital and offline fundraising activities in alignment with organizational strategies.
- Engage with volunteers to amplify community fundraising and keep abreast of industry developments and innovative practices.
- Stay current on trends in philanthropy, digital marketing, donor behavior, and apply innovative ideas to boost fundraising effectiveness.
- Provide event support before and after standard office hours, including possible weekend work when needed.
Qualifications and Skills
- A Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field is required; passionate fresh graduates with a commitment to social impact are encouraged to apply.
- Strong problem-solving skills, capable of generating solutions independently or as part of a team.
- Fluency in written and spoken English plus one additional official language (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil) with the ability to write clear and compelling fundraising communications.
- Experience or familiarity with design and marketing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva, video editing programs like Capcut and Adobe Premiere or After Effects, and productivity tools like Google Docs and Sheets; knowledge of AI applications is a plus.
- Skills in data analysis and interpreting performance metrics are advantageous.
- Experience with fundraising platforms and donor management systems is beneficial.
- A positive, team-oriented mindset with a strong compassion for humanitarian causes.
