Design & Estimation Engineer - Pharma and Cleanroom Utilities

Role Overview

This position involves responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-sales engineering to design and engineering, as well as post-sales support, focused on Pharmaceutical and Cleanroom utility systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret client requirements and project specifications in pre-sales activities.
• Design and size pharmaceutical utility equipment and piping layouts.
• Prepare detailed Room Data Sheets (RDS) along with Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
• Draft technical proposals and develop technical data sheets.
• Source competitive vendor quotations and conduct techno-commercial assessments.
• Revise costings with design changes and support business development efforts.
• Design utility systems and process piping specifically for pharmaceutical and cleanroom environments.
• Select and size equipment adhering to client standards and project specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to advance design development.
• Facilitate post-sales activities such as preparing project handover documents and participating in project kick-offs.
• Transfer technical and commercial documentation effectively to execution teams.
• Maintain coordination between clients, procurement, planning, and project teams ensuring seamless communication throughout the project.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working on Pharma, Cleanroom, or Life Sciences projects.
• Strong proficiency in designing Utility Systems and Process Piping.
• Expertise in Bill of Quantity preparation and cost estimation.
• Capability in preparing technical proposals and managing vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication skills and experience handling client interactions.
• Ability to manage multiple projects independently and effectively.
