Roles and Responsibilities

• Deliver pizzas promptly and courteously to customers’ locations within a designated delivery area.
• Operate safely and responsibly whether using your own vehicle or a company car, adhering to all driving regulations.
• Use advanced technology tools designed to enhance delivery efficiency and safety.
• Maintain excellent customer service standards, ensuring a positive experience with each delivery.
• Perform physical tasks including walking, carrying orders, climbing stairs (sometimes multiple flights), stooping, bending, and reaching as part of delivery and store operations.
• Handle pizza assembly tools, packaging materials, and clean work areas as needed.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license with a safe driving record verified through a Motor Vehicle Report.
• Able to pass a background check.
• Have reliable transportation and valid insurance if using personal vehicle.
• Strong navigational skills with the ability to read maps and locate addresses efficiently.
• Capable of working independently and under pressure, following directions, and adhering to strict quality controls.
• Physical ability to navigate adverse conditions and environments including varying weather, temperature fluctuations, compact spaces, and use of equipment with hot surfaces.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Exposure to changing weather conditions and temperature extremes from the cooler to hot kitchen areas.
• Handling of food-related odors and materials such as cornmeal dust.
• Work involves frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and manual handling of delivery items.
• Continuous hand-eye coordination required for pizza assembly and safe operation of kitchen tools.
• Good sensory abilities including vision, hearing, depth perception, and awareness to differentiate hot and cold surfaces.

Compensation and Scheduling

Drivers typically earn over $20 per hour combining wages, tips, and mileage reimbursement. Tips and mileage are paid daily, with hourly wages disbursed biweekly. Our drivers can select part-time or full-time shifts to suit their lifestyle.

Additional Details

Driver candidates need a minimum of two years driving experience with a clean record for using company cars, and must be at least 21 years old for this option. The work environment promotes diversity and values individual contributions. There are opportunities for advancement to roles such as Shift Lead, Assistant Manager, and beyond.
