Day Shift Security Officer

Role overview

Securitas Security Services is hiring Customer Service Security Officers for day shifts at a large retail client site in Dublin 9. This is a fully flexible role across Monday to Sunday, with a minimum commitment of 36 hours per week.

The pay rate is €15.41 per hour, with an additional €3.44 Sunday premium and a €20.00 night shift allowance. The role is based in Dublin 9, with free on-site parking, subsidised canteen facilities, and convenient access by public transport.

Main purpose of the role

The job is centered on protecting the client’s property, people, and assets by delivering security services to a specific site in line with the site’s Assignment Instructions and any later updates.

Key duties

• Complete all training required for the site to a satisfactory standard.
• Carry out all duties in line with the published Assignment Instructions.
• Review the Assignment Instructions regularly and flag any changes that could improve service delivery.
• Identify and report health and safety risks or potential hazards without delay.
• Remain vigilant for threats or changes in the environment and take action to prevent disruption, loss, or damage.
• Use sound judgement and initiative, involving others quickly if a situation becomes concerning.
• Record incidents accurately and in detail in the notebook so the information can support the incident reporting process.
• Wear the provided uniform properly at all times and keep it clean, pressed, and presentable.
• Maintain high standards of grooming and hygiene.
• Deal with colleagues, client staff, and members of the public in a courteous, professional, and helpful manner.

Requirements

• Strong spoken and written English is essential.
• Good attention to detail and solid written communication skills are required.
• Basic computer skills are needed.
• Previous experience is preferred, although full training will be provided.
• Excellent communication skills are a must.
• Flexibility around working hours is required.
• A valid PSA licence is required.
• Customer service experience is an advantage.
