Role Overview

We invite applications for our inaugural permanent Data Analyst who will play a crucial role in establishing and expanding our data capabilities. Collaborating closely with founders and cross-functional teams—Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success—you will transform data into actionable insights that drive key business decisions. This full-time role is UK-based and primarily remote but includes occasional meetups in Newcastle upon Tyne for team collaboration and planning.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze data related to products, customers, and business performance to discover meaningful insights.
Create and maintain reports and dashboards that facilitate informed decision-making.
Track and evaluate essential product and business metrics regularly.
Recognize trends and identify potential growth opportunities or areas needing improvement.
Collaborate with various teams to address important business inquiries using data.
Assess the effectiveness of new features and corporate initiatives.
Communicate findings clearly to both technical stakeholders and non-technical audiences.
Advocate improvements grounded on data trends and customer behaviors.

Qualifications and Skills

We value analytical curiosity, problem-solving aptitude, and communication skills over specific tool expertise or industry experience. Ideal candidates possess:

Robust analytical abilities to explore datasets, identify patterns, and translate findings into actionable insights.
Solid grasp of statistical concepts for supporting decision-making, experimentation, and performance measurement.
Effective communication of complex ideas to diverse audiences.
Experience in organizing, analyzing, or modeling data to tackle business questions.
Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and capability to handle multiple priorities independently in a remote setting.

Experience with the following is a plus:

SQL querying skills.
Programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis.
Data visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Studio.
Business intelligence, data modeling, or reporting techniques.
Familiarity with marketplace, SaaS, e-commerce, or travel sector data.

A background in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or any quantitative discipline enhances candidacy but is not mandatory. Candidates who have honed their analytical talents through work, projects, bootcamps, or self-learning are encouraged to apply.
