Data Analyst

Job summary

We are looking for a meticulous Data Analyst to work remotely and turn raw information into practical insights. In this role, you will gather, prepare, and examine data to help guide business decisions, streamline operations, and support company growth.

Responsibilities

• Gather data from different systems, then clean, check, and prepare it for analysis.
• Study large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and potential business opportunities.
• Create and update dashboards, reports, and charts using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or comparable platforms.
• Build and refine SQL queries for extracting and reporting data.
• Work closely with business, product, and operations teams to understand reporting and analysis needs.
• Carry out ad-hoc analysis and share recommendations with stakeholders.
• Track KPIs and other performance measures to help teams make informed decisions.
• Improve reporting efficiency by automating recurring tasks and data workflows.
• Explain findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in data analysis or a similar position.
• Solid hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, and visualization tools.
• Exposure to Python or R for analysis and automation tasks.
• Good understanding of data modeling, statistics, and data cleansing methods.
• A strong analytical approach and proven problem-solving ability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setup.
• Bonus exposure to ETL workflows, data warehousing, and BI tools.
• Helpful familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Awareness of predictive analytics or basic machine learning concepts.
• Experience in fields such as fintech, healthcare, SaaS, e-commerce, or marketing analytics is advantageous.
• Prior work in distributed or remote teams is preferred.
