Role Overview

At Tesla, the Customer Experience Specialist plays a pivotal role in shaping remarkable and informative journeys for both prospective and existing customers. As the key connector from showroom greeting to vehicle delivery, these specialists embody the brand's mission to accelerate sustainable energy adoption.

Key Duties

• Promptly welcome walk-in guests with a personal approach, initiating conversations to ensure they feel comfortable and valued.
• Engage in meaningful dialogue to understand guests' backgrounds, motivations for visiting Tesla, purchasing intentions, and timelines, thereby building comprehensive, customized customer profiles.
• Inspire and inform guests by answering their inquiries and tailoring product experiences, including offering test drives and demonstrations of Full Self-Driving features aligned with individual interests.
• Conduct detailed vehicle delivery orientations that emphasize important features and advantages so that new owners gain confidence and excitement about their Tesla.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline by collecting guest information, scheduling test drives, and identifying customers with strong purchase intent.
• Consistently provide exceptional service to all current and prospective Tesla owners.
• Perform additional tasks as required to support business operations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of one year of experience in customer service and/or sales, demonstrating a proven ability to meet or surpass set targets.
• A strong passion for Tesla’s mission and advances in the personal transportation sector, remaining informed on electric vehicle industry developments and local incentives.
• Capability to comprehend and communicate both business matters and technical concepts effectively.
• A reliable team player with a strong sense of collaboration.
• Excellent organizational skills alongside strong written and verbal communication abilities; proficient in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software.
• Availability to work during evenings, weekends, and holidays within a retail setting.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is mandatory.
• For roles based in CA, CO, HI, ID, MD, MS, NV, NC, PA, TN, UT, VA, DC: Applicants must hold a Motor Vehicle Salesperson License issued by their state's Department of Motor Vehicles before engaging in sales activities. Eligibility for this license should be verified with the respective DMV.
• For positions in AZ, GA, HI, IA, IN, NC, NJ, NM, NY, OH, PA, VT, WA: Holding a Notary license is preferred. Tesla will provide assistance to obtain this license if notary support is needed.
