Job Purpose

This role involves maintaining cleanliness and order in Reno County-owned buildings. The technician observes and reports maintenance needs to the maintenance team. Part-time assistants provide support to full-time personnel and their responsibilities vary depending on departmental requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and upkeep county facilities to ensure a neat environment.
• Monitor building conditions and report repair needs to maintenance staff.
• Assist full-time custodial crews as needed based on departmental assignment.

Position Requirements

• Preferred minimum education: high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
• At least one year of prior experience preferred.
• Applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful workers authorized to perform duties within the U.S.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Employment is contingent on passing a name-based criminal background check prior to job assignment involving sensitive information.
• A fingerprint-based criminal history check is required within 30 days of hire and before unconditional employment is offered.
• Possession and maintenance of a valid Kansas driver's license is mandatory.
