Position Purpose
The Credit Controller role involves collaborating closely with the Accounts Receivable team to enhance collection efficiency for the branch. The position requires innovative thinking to suggest improvements that streamline accounting processes and minimize redundant tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Lower accounts receivable overdue balances within the branch.
- Decrease the number of credit balances owed to customers.
- Manage credit application processing and regular reviews.
- Set and monitor credit limits across all accounts.
- Ensure timely oversight of exception reports.
- Complete weekly accounts receivable reporting.
- Provide coverage and support during team members’ absences.
- Assist supervisors and managers with various projects.
- Complete mandatory training programs and desk-side learning sessions.
- Support system updates related to legal or procedural changes.
- Communicate proactively to recommend procedural improvements.

Qualifications and Skills
- Prior experience as a Credit Controller is essential.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and enjoy challenges.
- Office environment experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), Word, and Outlook.
- Legal right to work in the UK is mandatory.
