Job Overview

FedEx Canada is seeking a Courier responsible for the timely and courteous collection and delivery of shipments on an assigned route. This role involves verifying that all packages comply with company service standards and providing related customer support.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform efficient pick-up and delivery of packages along allotted routes.
• Inspect shipments to ensure adherence to FedEx Canada service guidelines.
• Maintain effective communication with customers and provide excellent service.
• Manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Adapt to flexible schedules, including varied shifts and holiday work as business demands.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent educational attainment is required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.
• Capability to lift up to 70 lbs and handle packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment.
• Preferred: Minimum of one year of customer-focused business experience.
• Successful completion of mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training with minimum thresholds met.
• Basic familiarity with FedEx Canada operations and Canadian Customs regulations is considered advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Efficient time management and organizational abilities.
• Ability to handle workplace stress and multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including holidays, as required.
• For candidates in Quebec, bilingual proficiency in French and English is required.
• Must maintain annual accreditations and comply with all recurrence trainings.
• Employment terms require that driver's abstracts reflect no more than two violations or accidents in the past 24 months.

Additional Information

The position is a full-time role with shifts scheduled Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Candidates will be evaluated based on driver records, interview performance, and competency testing.
