Role Overview

This position involves managing controls during new system implementations and projects, coordinating critical activities to ensure smooth execution. Responsibilities include overseeing monthly closing procedures for Distribution Centers, supporting debt and legal reviews, and managing day-to-day financial operations at assigned DCs. The role collaborates with sales teams to optimize business processes and supports supply chain activities including control over third-party logistics, distributors, and stockists. Regular analysis of accounts receivable aging, market visits, and evaluation of incentive requests are essential to maintain strong sales and financial health. The role also involves reporting key indicators to leadership for data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and authorize Customer Credit Protection Fund (CCPF) requests, ensuring compliance and correctness.
• Verify daily cash reconciliation processes for collections.
• Supervise the daily closing tasks for the DC team.
• Ensure approved budgets are accurately reflected in financial systems.
• Validate and approve provisions and related financial reports to preserve accuracy.
• Distribute activity tracking sheets to stakeholders ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Approve sales commissions, incentives, and employee deductions in compliance with policies.
• Analyze monthly payments, highlight overdue accounts to sales, and ensure follow-ups.
• Authorize monthly accruals including bad debt provisions, discounts & allowances, stales reserves, and commissions.
• Confirm proper sales cut-off procedures for correct accounts receivable recording.
• Review bank, cash, and petty cash reconciliations to maintain financial control.
• Support Commercial Controller with feedback on debt and revenue statuses.
• Provide timely management reports on accounts receivable, discounts & allowances, and revenues.
• Approve customer credit notes for accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct quarterly control tests, identify deficiencies, and develop corrective plans.
• Lead BU Finance initiatives and coordinate sales compliance across regions.
• Review and approve travel and expense claims, purchase requests, purchase orders, and customer master data changes.
• Ensure adherence to PepsiCo policies within assigned responsibilities.
• Motivate and lead the UAE finance team, recognizing contributions and driving performance.
• Collaborate with sales and support functions to maintain policy compliance and meet targets.
• Advise management on insurance coverage related to fidelity guarantees and cash protection.
• Coordinate with sales to ensure sales spend quality, timeliness, and policy alignment.
• Recommend improvements to discount and allowance processes as needed.
• Perform COSO control testing and approve employee and supplier payments.
• Evaluate control risks and suggest policy or procedural changes.
• Coordinate auditor requirements with Commercial Controller for assigned work scope.
• Weekly review of net revenue by channel and mix performance.
• Perform financial feasibility assessments and ROI analyses for commercial campaigns and initiatives.
• Monitor brand/initiative stales, identify causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Partner with functions to enhance channel and pack profitability.
• Track monthly transactional and execution KPIs, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Assess promotional performance and trade spend ROI for optimized marketing efforts.
• Lead pack pricing initiatives and new revenue management ideation.
• Review customer agreements and conduct detailed P&L analyses to improve margins and cost-to-serve.
• Evaluate rack inventory utilization and return on investment.
• Lead sales and distribution monthly tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and productivity improvement initiatives.
• Manage advertising and marketing budgets and activity status.
• Ensure accuracy of key business dimension reporting (DAPLR).

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong stakeholder management with effective communication across functions and senior leadership.
• Excellent coordination with different teams and finance planning.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Education: Preferred MBA, CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent qualifications.
• 3-4 years experience in FMCG finance or related areas.
