Role Overview

The Compliance Officer at HALA plays a crucial role in supporting the implementation and monitoring of the organization's compliance framework. This position ensures compliance with regulatory standards, assists in identifying risks, and fosters a culture of compliance throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in implementing and maintaining an effective compliance program.
Review and update company policies and procedures for regulatory compliance.
Offer guidance to employees regarding compliance policies and basic regulatory requirements.
Support execution of corrective action plans related to audits and compliance issues.
Analyze company processes and documentation to identify potential risks or compliance gaps.
Conduct site visits and sample reviews as part of compliance monitoring activities.
Prepare reports on compliance reviews and document findings thoroughly.
Contribute to assessing compliance risks across business operations.
Enhance employee awareness of compliance policies, procedures, and regulations.
Respond to compliance-related queries from staff members.
Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and assist in incorporating them effectively.
Evaluate new products and services from a compliance standpoint.
Assist in coordinating responses to regulatory bodies like SAMA and participate in inspections as required.
Maintain detailed records and escalate any non-compliance issues noted.
Help update the Compliance Risk Register and prepare periodic regulatory reports for SAMA.

Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).
2 to 5 years of experience in a comparable compliance role.
Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
Fluency in both English and Arabic languages.
Strong understanding of compliance standards and regulations relevant to financial services.
Intermediate competency in self-actualization, team collaboration, entrepreneurial mindset, and business diligence.
