Commissioning Manager

Job Summary

We are looking for a seasoned Commissioning Manager to oversee the commissioning phase of a significant onshore Oil & Gas EPC project in Doha, Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading commissioning efforts to ensure the safe, timely, and high-quality completion and handover of facilities while coordinating multidisciplinary teams and EPC contractors.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct all commissioning operations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and implement commissioning strategies, plans, and processes toward systems completion.
• Ensure all commissioning activities meet safety guidelines, adhere to schedules, stay within budget, and comply with quality standards.
• Manage EPC contractors’ commissioning performance and maintain communication with project stakeholders.
• Lead and allocate resources efficiently across multidisciplinary commissioning teams.
• Review and approve commissioning deliverables such as procedures, work packs, and completion documentation.
• Coordinate interfaces among commissioning, engineering, construction, operations, and handover teams.
• Monitor project risks, assess commissioning readiness, and provide timely reports.
• Support brownfield commissioning operations and manage simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
• Promote a robust health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture throughout commissioning activities.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Applied Sciences.
• At least 15 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects.
• A minimum of 5 years in Commissioning Management or a senior supervisory position.
• Extensive experience in engineering, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and systems completion.
• Proven track record managing large EPC projects.
• Familiarity with brownfield projects and simultaneous operations (SIMOPS).
• Strong understanding of commissioning methodologies, engineering standards, project execution, and risk management.
• Experience collaborating with Operators, EPC Contractors, or Service Companies.

Additional Information

The role is offered on a contract basis and requires being onsite in Doha, Qatar. Candidates must have valid work authorization for the country.
