Located adjacent to an 18-hole championship golf course, the resort establishes itself as a premier golfing destination aligned with Fairmont's global reputation. The development prioritizes sustainability, spanning 200 km of pristine coastline, encompassing over 90 unspoiled islands, dormant volcanoes, rich marine environments, and significant archaeological sites.
Job Overview
The role mainly entails driving the achievement of budgeted revenue targets for all segments, focusing on both national and international hotel accounts through individual reservations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure prompt and professional handling of all reservation inquiries to prevent any business loss.
- Conduct training sessions for current and new agents to enhance their reservation sales skills.
- Address and resolve guest issues positively to safeguard company income and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain departmental schedules to guarantee adequate coverage for reservation calls, reducing missed calls, and optimizing booking conversion rates.
- Monitor and track calls using standard conversion tracking sheets, providing regular reports daily, weekly, and monthly.
- Implement and adjust sales strategies across various channels and segments under direct supervision at the property level.
- Generate reports as requested by the hotel or corporate guidelines and support the Director of Revenue Management in managing reservation, property management, and revenue systems.
- Uphold administration procedures adhering to company and hotel standards, including timely confirmation of reservations, validation of no-show charges for Finance, and maintaining organized filing and correspondence systems.
- Conduct annual employee reviews, suggest succession plans for staff development to strengthen the reservations department, identify challenges, and propose solutions.
- Oversee and report on incentive program outcomes, ensuring program integrity and compliance with all requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a degree or diploma in Training and Development or Hotel Management.
- Proficient in Opera and Microsoft Office applications.
- At least three years of experience in hotel or resort operations, preferably in luxury hotels or resorts.
- Regional experience with an understanding of the local culture is essential.
