Job Summary
The Clinical Courier plays a vital role in ensuring the prompt and secure transport of resources at Doctors Hospital. This position is an integral part of the Transport Team, responsible for delivering clinical, logistical, and human resource materials efficiently within the healthcare network.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive medical items and carefully follow instructions provided by healthcare facilities.
- Securely store all medical supplies in the delivery vehicle during transport.
- Verify that all documentation accurately aligns with each item being transported.
- Confirm the legitimacy and precision of delivery paperwork.
- Plan efficient travel routes that consider traffic conditions and mileage.
- Ensure timely pickup and delivery of medical materials to and from healthcare sites.
- Obtain recipient signatures and verify their identities upon delivery.
- Safeguard all items throughout the delivery process.
- Maintain detailed logs for vehicle mileage and necessary maintenance.
- Perform thorough counts and inventory checks of medical items collected and delivered.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma required; three BJC subjects including Math and English are preferred.
- Possess a valid driver's license with at least five years of vehicle operation experience and a clean driving record.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is desirable.
- Minimum two years’ experience as a delivery driver or courier preferred.
- Flexibility for on-call duties as needed.
- Strong innovative thinking with an ability to solve problems effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Well-developed organizational, administrative, and planning abilities.
- Capability to work efficiently under pressure and respond to urgent matters swiftly.
- Work autonomously and collaborate well within a team.
- Excellent verbal communication skills.
- Reliable punctuality and capacity to work unsupervised.
- Physically able to lift items weighing at least 20 pounds.
- Demonstrated passion for improving healthcare operations.
