About the Role and Workplace

Position Details
This temporary full-time role under the Housing & Children’s Services department offers a rate of $31.22 to $36.68 per hour and involves managing and analyzing data related to child care services. The position reports to the Children’s Services System Supervisor and requires a weekly commitment of 35 hours without shift work.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Core Ontario Child Care Management program (OCCM), including the Record of Attendance and On-Line Child Care Subsidy Application Form systems.
- Monitor and adjust childcare fee subsidy expenditures, providing confidential financial and analytical support throughout the system management unit.
- Conduct random audits on Child Care Subsidy Files and Records of Attendance Reports.
- Set up new funding categories and care codes related to childcare fee subsidies.
- Develop statistical and graphic reports and presentations to support system management.
- Assist with processing monthly attendance reports and complete special projects as assigned.
- Ensure staff compliance with work procedures and guidelines.
- Travel to various Child Care Centers within Windsor-Essex and attend off-site meetings as required.
- Perform occupational health and safety responsibilities according to the City's Health and Safety Program.
- Carry out additional related duties as necessary.
Qualifications
- Completion of a three-year post-secondary program in Business Administration, Accounting, or equivalent as recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
- Over one year of experience with data collection, statistical analysis, research, and evaluation.
- Ability to travel promptly to off-site locations; possession of a valid Ontario driver's license and a clean driver's abstract is required if using a vehicle.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
- Strong technical competency and organizational skills.
- Effective interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Experience working with diverse groups.
