Overview
We are seeking a Change Management Specialist to develop and enhance the IT Change Management framework, focusing on compliance with ITIL and relevant industry standards. This role includes leading the Change Advisory Board (CAB) and managing risks related to critical changes within IT operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate, implement, and continuously refine the IT Change Management policies, framework, and processes.
- Ensure strict adherence to ITIL or equivalent standards across change management activities.
- Lead the Change Advisory Board, conducting thorough risk assessments for impactful changes.
- Manage the entire change lifecycle from request for change (RFC) submission through approval, implementation, to post-implementation review.
- Standardize classification of changes into Standard, Normal, or Emergency categories with comprehensive documentation.
- Collaborate extensively with IT teams including Infrastructure, Applications, Security, and DevOps, as well as business units and external vendors to align change initiatives with business objectives.
- Communicate planned change schedules, potential impacts, and anticipated outages to relevant stakeholders effectively.
- Resolve conflicts among multiple change requests and prioritize changes critical to business continuity.
- Oversee the administration and effectiveness of Change Management tools such as ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, and JIRA.
- Prepare and maintain detailed reporting on change activities, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly summaries.
- Ensure changes conform to cybersecurity policies and implement risk mitigation strategies relating to outages, data loss, or degradation of service.
Compliance and Frameworks
- Operate within established frameworks including the SAMA IT Governance Framework (ITGF), Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), and Counter Fraud Framework (CFF).
- Provide governance and guidance aligned with the directives of the Change Advisory Board.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline.
- ITIL v4 certification (either Beginner or Expert level) is mandatory.
- Possess between 5 to 8 years of professional experience, preferably within the financial sector, with emphasis on banking industry operations.
