Role Overview

The Category Lead is charged with designing, spearheading, and implementing category strategies and sourcing plans that enhance value delivery. This role requires a strategic mindset combined with strong analytical capabilities and expertise in managing supplier relationships. The individual will leverage market insights and business goals to shape contract development within the category so as to align with the organisation's strategic objectives and maximize value.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in category management, procurement, or commercial leadership. They balance strategic oversight with practical execution and confidently engage and influence stakeholders at various levels. Candidates should have significant experience in category management and leadership roles, demonstrating senior leadership capabilities, managing diverse markets, geographies, and categories across large organisations with substantial spend and extensive people management responsibilities.
