About the Role

The Care Buddy serves as the primary liaison and represents Prayojana Golden Years Services, providing compassionate support to assigned senior members akin to the care their own children would provide. This role emphasizes empathetic engagement, practical assistance, and companionship.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct daily wellness checks for assigned members to monitor their health and well-being.
• Assist with errands including banking tasks and purchasing essentials such as groceries and vegetables.
• Arrange and accompany members to medical appointments and periodic laboratory visits.
• Provide technology support to members, including help with applications like WhatsApp, internet troubleshooting, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram).
• Perform weekly or more frequent visits to understand and address members' needs.
• Educate members on emergency procedures, including how to call for help and manage emergencies.
• In emergencies, coordinate hospital visits and treatment facilitation while keeping all relevant parties updated.
• Keep medical records current within the Prayojana Health App.
• Oversee medicine stock levels and assist in ordering refills.
• Offer companionship by accompanying members on walks weekly and attending social events such as concerts upon request.
• Facilitate ticket bookings for events like music concerts, movies, or dramas and coordinate transportation for members to attend these or family gatherings.
• Manage a caseload of up to 10 senior members simultaneously.

Candidate Profile

• High integrity and trustworthy nature.
• Ability to work independently and remain accessible for emergency calls around the clock.
• Strong empathy, patience, politeness, soft-spoken communication style, punctuality, and reliability in fulfilling commitments.
• Passion for enhancing seniors’ happiness, comfort, and daily life management by going beyond basic duties.
• Proficient with web and mobile applications, possessing fundamental computer and internet skills.
• Possession of a personal two-wheeler (bike or scooter) to facilitate mobility.

Preferred Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work is considered an advantage.
