About the Role

Talbot Hotel Stillorgan is seeking a dedicated Canteen Assistant to support daily canteen operations, reporting to the Head Chef. Key Responsibilities

Warmly welcome employees as they enter the canteen area.
Set up breakfast, lunch, and dinner services efficiently.
Promptly clear tables and clean the dining space to maintain order and tidiness.
Restock food items, beverages, and utensils as necessary.
Ensure cleanliness and sanitation meet established health regulations.
Adhere to proper food handling and safety procedures at all times.
Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of food and supplies.
Collaborate closely with kitchen and team members to facilitate smooth canteen operations.
Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors or management.

Candidate Requirements

Previous customer service or hospitality experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively multitask and work efficiently under fast-paced conditions.
High attention to detail with a strong commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays.
Dependability, punctuality, and capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines is desirable.
