Business Intelligence (BI) Developer / SQL Server BI Developer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Developer with strong expertise in SQL Server BI technologies to work onsite in Tallahassee, FL. The candidate must be a resident of Florida and have extensive hands-on experience in data management, reporting, and analytics to support enterprise-wide decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and deliver reporting solutions and data management processes to create centralized datasets for reporting needs based on functional requirements.
• Create reporting tools that provide insights into key performance indicators prioritized by the Department, clinical quality standards from the National Quality Forum, and Federal EHR Meaningful Use objectives.
• Gather and analyze business requirements for key performance metrics and develop detailed report specifications using Microsoft Office Suite to meet those requirements.
• Lead specification review sessions with business analysts and team leaders to ensure alignment and clarity.
• Effectively communicate meeting agendas, clarify terminology, consolidate ideas, track discussion points, and present clear summaries of outcomes both verbally and in writing.
• Complete all mandatory training assigned by the Department, with proof of completion such as certificates or system verification.

Qualifications and Experience

• At least five years of demonstrated experience with database schema design and management.
• Minimum five years of hands-on experience maintaining centralized enterprise data reporting systems.
• Five years of proficiency in writing complex relational and OLAP database queries using SQL.
• At least five years working experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or equivalent platforms.
• Proven experience in conducting requirements analysis and generating on-demand reports.
• Experience reviewing technical specifications and providing constructive technical guidance.

This is a full-time onsite position based in Tallahassee, Florida. Candidates must be locally available to fulfil onsite responsibilities and departmental training requirements.
