About Cybus
Cybus has been building its team continuously since 2015 with the aim of advancing innovation in manufacturing by applying proven internet technologies. The company is made up of IoT specialists, experienced developers, and engineers with expertise across multiple fields.
In short, Cybus offers an IIoT software product that works as an on-premise communication layer. It helps manufacturing customers connect their machines and bring smart factories to life.
The mission behind the work is to create more efficiency while reducing energy use and emissions. The company culture is shaped by independence, creativity, and collaboration.
As part of the Sales team, you will take ownership of building the outbound pipeline in the role of Business Development Representative (gn).
Role overview
In this position, you will be the driving force behind outbound pipeline creation. You will find the right target accounts, develop them in a structured way, and hand over qualified opportunities to the Account Executive team. Your contribution will be directly visible and directly rewarded.
Key responsibilities
- Independently identify, prioritize, and approach enterprise target accounts that fit Cybus’ ideal customer profile, especially in manufacturing, automotive, chemical, pharma, and food & beverage.
- Design and execute personalized outreach across LinkedIn, email, and phone, using an account-based approach with trigger-based personalization instead of broad mass messaging.
- Qualify outbound opportunities using BANT or MEDDIC-style criteria and transfer them to AEs with a full business case and stakeholder context.
- Track market movements, competitor signals, and buying triggers in target accounts, and help build a scalable outbound playbook library.
- Work with the partner ecosystem, especially tier-1 system integrators, to identify and qualify co-sell and referral opportunities.
Requirements
- 1–3 years of experience as an SDR, BDR, or in a similar outbound role within B2B tech or SaaS, with proven success in enterprise outreach such as booked meetings and generated pipeline.
- A strong outbound mindset: you do not rely on generic templates, but research, personalize, and identify relevant buying triggers.
- A strategic way of working, with the ability to prioritize accounts based on potential rather than intuition, and to use frameworks such as BANT or MEDDIC as practical tools.
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken German and English at C1/C2 level.
- High resilience and ownership, including the ability to stay structured after rejection and learn quickly from every interaction.
Nice to have
- Experience in IIoT, manufacturing tech, Industry 4.0, or another complex B2B deep-tech environment.
- Hands-on experience with account-based selling or account-based marketing.
- Experience using sales tools such as HubSpot or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
Benefits
- Flat hierarchies with plenty of room for independent decisions and personal responsibility.
- A culture of diversity, mutual respect, and strong teamwork, with collaboration on equal footing.
- A varied and engaging job where you can make things happen without heavy bureaucracy.
- Strong team spirit and regular team events.
- Continuous learning and development tailored to your skills and interests.
- A pleasant workplace atmosphere with a professional coffee machine, sweet snacks, fresh fruit, and after-work drinks.
- Stable work-life balance with flexible working hours, 30 days of annual leave, and an additional one-time leave bonus of 10, 15, or 20 days after 3, 4, or 5 years of service.
- Option to use up to 5 of the 30 vacation days as flexible leave, either for a longer break or for financial benefits.
- Up to EUR 100 subsidy per child for preschool childcare costs.
- Monthly subsidy of EUR 50 for food, sports, bike leasing, or public transport.
- Attractive retirement benefits, including a subsidized direct insurance plan and a fully funded support fund.
- Hybrid working with 2–3 days per week in the Hamburg Eimsbüttel office, plus occasional workations.
- An attractive bonus system on top of the fixed salary.
