Business Analyst

About the Role

Centre for Molecular Biosciences & Genomics is looking for a highly analytical and detail-focused Business Analyst to serve as a bridge between business requirements and technological solutions. This full-time position suits candidates ranging from entry-level to mid-level experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing business needs across teams, identifying areas for enhancement, and contributing to the effective execution of projects and strategic plans.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, document, and analyze requirements from various stakeholders across the organization.
• Assess existing business processes, workflows, and systems to spot opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
• Convert business needs into clear functional specifications, user stories, process diagrams, and business documentation.
• Work closely with stakeholders, project managers, software developers, and operational teams to implement practical solutions.
• Perform data analysis, business performance evaluations, and process reviews to inform decision-making.
• Lead meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather insights and align project goals.
• Assist in project planning, testing phases, deployment, and managing changes effectively.
• Prepare business cases, detailed reports, dashboards, and presentations for management and key stakeholders.
• Conduct gap analysis, root cause investigations, and impact assessments to support business initiatives.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to confirm solutions meet business expectations.
• Track project results and suggest improvements for ongoing refinement.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date business documentation, including process maps and project records.

Requirements

• Previous experience in business analysis, operations, consulting, project coordination, data analysis, or related domains is preferred.
• Strong analytical mindset combined with critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Competence in gathering, documenting, and interpreting detailed business requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and documentation software.
• Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms is beneficial.
• Knowledge of business process modeling, project management principles, and system implementation strategies is advantageous.
• Superior organizational abilities to juggle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Finance, Economics, Operations Management, Data Analytics, or related fields is preferred.
