BIM Engineer

About the Role

Corcoran Food Equipment is seeking a BIM Engineer to join their project management team. This role involves collaborating closely with Tier 1 clients across Ireland and the UK in various sectors such as Corporate, Pharma, Healthcare, Hospitality, Commercial, and Education. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the BIM Engineer will manage full project lifecycles, including planning, design, installation, and commissioning. The role is based in Tralee with a flexible hybrid work arrangement that includes onsite visits.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of commercial projects as part of a design team working with Tier 1 contractors.
• Support the Senior Project Manager by managing projects from inception to completion.
• Conduct site surveys and prepare mechanical, electrical, and ventilation service designs.
• Coordinate service drawings, schedules, Revit and Navisworks models, along with technical submittals, ensuring alignment among design teams, suppliers, clients, contractors, and interfacing trades.
• Participate in BIM project meetings and perform site visits throughout various construction phases.
• Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure site targets and project deadlines are met.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in design, engineering, or project management roles.
• Proficiency with Revit, Navisworks, and a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
• Demonstrated experience in BIM project delivery.
• Experience assisting in project management is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Common Data Environments is a plus.
• Strong communication abilities coupled with a calm and effective approach to timely project delivery.
• Ability to work well in teams and progressively assume leadership responsibilities.
• A degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Architectural, Civil Engineering or Building Services.
