Bid Manager

Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Bid Manager to join our expanding team in Townsville, Queensland. This leadership role is vital for overseeing complete bid processes and supporting business growth within the infrastructure, design, and construction projects across the Pacific.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire bid lifecycle from opportunity identification through Expressions of Interest, tender submissions, contract awards, and transition to execution teams.
• Craft persuasive, high-quality bid documentation and proposals that effectively communicate our value propositions and align with winning strategies.
• Facilitate internal approval processes by preparing briefing materials and engaging stakeholders.
• Contribute to market analysis and tender response planning.
• Ensure all submissions undergo comprehensive legal, commercial, and compliance evaluations.
• Maintain meticulous records on bid activities, volume, and engagement metrics.
• Collaborate with teams such as Pre-contracts, Estimating, and Submissions to develop pursuit approaches.
• Identify and assess potential partnerships for strategic advantage.
• Assist senior leadership, including the Managing Director and General Manager, in nurturing client relationships and generating new business prospects.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline is preferred.
• At least five years of demonstrable experience managing bids, particularly in capital works, infrastructure, or utilities sectors.
• Proven success in handling complex bids end-to-end from conception to award.
• In-depth understanding of contract delivery methods and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Strong attention to detail with capability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
