Associate Director, Web Analytics

Role Summary

We are seeking an accomplished Web Analytics expert specializing in Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Google BigQuery (GBQ), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to join as Associate Director. This role entails providing high-level strategic and technical leadership for designing, implementing, and enhancing analytics frameworks across the organization. A key responsibility is managing end-to-end integrations linking GA4 with GBQ and GCP to enable scalable data pipelines, automated reporting, and actionable business insights.

Primary Responsibilities

• Act as the authoritative advisor on GA4, GBQ, and GCP analytics, data governance, and system integrations.
• Offer technical and strategic consultancy ensuring analytics solutions are scalable and aligned with governance standards.
• Translate organizational goals into comprehensive analytics architectures and data integration plans.
• Oversee the configuration, governance, and continual improvement of GA4, GBQ, GCP integrations.
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and automation workflows for streamlined data collection and reporting processes.
• Collaborate with analytics, marketing, and engineering stakeholders to support advanced reporting, predictive analytics, and campaign activation using GA4–GBQ–GCP platforms and other enterprise data lakes.
• Engage with business units to illustrate the value and ROI of analytics solutions enabled by GBQ and GCP.
• Demonstrate measurable impact of analytics initiatives using key performance indicators and storytelling approaches.
• Manage GA4 event tracking, custom dimensions/metrics, and eCommerce enhancements.
• Ensure consistent data flow from GA4 into GBQ to support complex analytics and reporting needs.
• Advise on data layer architecture and tagging strategies, including oversight of Google Tag Manager, focusing on integration with analytics and cloud systems.
• Establish data quality standards and validation protocols to maintain accuracy across GA4, GBQ, and GCP datasets.
• Support development of advanced dashboards and reports using Looker Studio, GA4, and BigQuery aligned to business objectives.

Required Qualifications

• Relevant business or technical degree qualification.
• Broad experience in web analytics paired with proficiency in cloud-based data integrations.
• Advanced knowledge and hands-on expertise in GA4, GBQ, and GCP with demonstrated ability managing their integrations.
• Strong foundation in data architecture, modeling, and warehousing principles.
• Practical exposure to analytics deployment, including familiarity with Google Tag Manager and data layer design is advantageous.
• Proven track record in stakeholder engagement and influencing business initiatives through analytics insight.
