About the Role
Gleeds is recruiting an Associate Director in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to support significant iconic projects in the Kingdom. This role focuses on pre contract Quantity Surveying services within the Buildings and Real Estate construction sector. The opportunity is ideal for an MRICS-qualified specialist passionate about pre contract functions, seeking career growth in a professional setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Providing cost management services during the design phases, from concept to detailed design.
- Overseeing commissions to ensure delivery aligns with Gleeds' procedures and high-quality standards.
- Cultivating and sustaining strong client relationships through positive engagement.
- Undertaking cost planning and estimations for projects.
- Implementing value engineering to optimize project costs.
- Preparing Bills of Quantities accurately.
- Advising on and applying effective procurement strategies.
- Managing tender documentation and overseeing the tender process, including creating tender marking schemes.
- Generating and delivering client reports.
- Alerting Directors promptly about any emerging or potential issues in projects.
Qualifications and Experience
- MRICS Chartered status or equivalent professional accreditation.
- Demonstrated expertise and hands-on experience in pre contract cost management.
- A minimum of 15 years post-graduate experience across comprehensive quantity surveying functions.
- At least 3 years of professional experience within Saudi Arabia.
- Minimum 3 years with a leading Quantity Surveying consultancy firm.
- Experience working on building and large-scale mixed use developments.
- Knowledge of construction procurement including tendering and contract strategy implementations.
- Effective oral and written communication capabilities in English; Arabic skills are desirable.
- Possession of a transferable Iqama is required.
Academic Credentials
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying.
- MRICS chartered status or equivalent.
